ISLE OF WIGHT DOG TRAINING SOCIETY
From beginner to competitor, all ages welcome...
Welcome
The Isle of Wight Dog Training Society has been providing training for dog lovers all over the Island since the 1950's. We are a non-profit making club run by volunteers and our membership is island wide. Membership and trainers’ interests include rally, puppy & young dog obedience (getting your dog to sit and walk to heel etc.) through to competition standard obedience and agility. Many of our members and trainers compete in their chosen specialisms.
We are affiliated to The Kennel Club and run Puppy, Bronze, Silver and Gold Kennel Club Good Citizen training, assessments and progress tests for members interested in achieving those levels of competence. We use a variety of venues on the island. Whatever your interest, go to the relevant page for further details of venues and training.
All our trainers and committee members give their time, training and expertise on a voluntary basis and receive no remuneration. Your class and membership fees go towards the costs of venues, insurance (we are insured by the Kennel Club), equipment and special events for the membership.
Annual membership of the IW Dog Training Society costs £6 single or £9 for joint membership and runs from January to December each year. Junior membership is £3. You will be required to fill out a membership form and pay the subscription fee at your first session.
In the meantime, if you require any further help, please do not hesitate to make contact.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Isle of Wight Dog Training Society.
